The Best of Bob Jones
First, the Bad News: Bob and Diane Jones will be leaving Richmond to start a new adventure in New Hampshire (It's great news for them and our loss!). Although Bob loves travel, he won't be commuting down for FGCC meetings!
The Good News: Bob has agreed to show a retrospective of his work to the group at our March Program Meeting. He'll be showing his best and favorite images and answering questions.
As you know, typically we don't do an extended highlight of a member's work during our program meetings (Member Showcases serve this purpose). However, we wanted to celebrate and honor his work before he leaves and say Thank You to him.
Bob has been a deeply committed, long term member who has been integral to the growth of the group. He has served in numerous leadership roles including his present position on the board as Past President.
We are sorry to acknowledge that he is leaving our area and are glad we live in the world of internet so connections can be maintained easily.
Join us for this celebration and sharing with Bob Jones!

Member Showcase Update:
Formerly known as "Slide Night", Member Showcase Evenings were launched with approximately 35 people attending!
Next Member Showcase Event: Mark Your Calendars! March 23rd is now confirmed for our next Member Showcase
night.
Ralph Sells Mushrooms at Market will highlight his work with China Unmasked.
We'll use the club projector to make sure it is calibrated to accurately reflect the images.
In addition to the 30 minute Member Highlight, there will also be time for member extended round table sharing (5 to 20 images). Be thinking about what you might share.
What to be a Highlighted Member during Showcase?
We're now schedule out to November for Member Showcase Events. Next opportunity for a 30 minute highlight spot is January, 2011. Let Kathy know if interested in signing up for 2011.

Your Feedback of our First Member Showcase Worked!
Based on the input from the 16 people who completed the Survey, we're going to try a different restaurant prior to the Member Showcase Event on March 23rd.
Nick's Greek and Italian (8501 W. Broad) offers a wide range of food choices, reasonable prices, and yummy food too!

And, it meets the priorities of those who gave feedback:
more seats available in the private room, separate checks, and better acoustics.
There will be an evite sent one week prior to the Member Showcase for you to RSVP if you want to join us for dinner on March 23rd. Hope to see you there!
