Salon Nights
Salon participants must bring 1-3 favorite images NOT made by themselves and give a short (under 5 minutes total) analysis of WHY these images rank as their favorites. I suggest that the WHY, NOT relate to the subject of the image (kid and pet pics are always favorites, but....). Rather analyze exposure, dynamic range, light, line, color, pattern, space, form and inferred intent and/or other pertinent criteria. Images can be prints, cuts from magazines/books or displayed on a participant-supplied device. Location will depend on participation, but I have in mind a restaurant or bar with space available to do this. |
