FGCC Meeting

• President Bob Jones opened
the meeting by announcing that David Everette
would lead a field trip sometime in the future to one of his
favorite places on the
James River
(with a slide night on the
following Thursday)
• Vice-president, Chuck
Spalding presented a program on preparing image files
for printing. He had prepared a
handout which outlined the issues involved.
The topics covered included the display requirements of large
prints; the importance of capturing good files; post-processing with
special emphasis on image sizing and
printing resolution; color management, orderly
workflows and sharpening. It was obvious
to everyone that Chuck had put a lot of time and effort
into the presentation and we all really appreciated it.
