I began photographing with my ex-husband’s Nikon on our honeymoon in Mexico , 1975.  After he taught me everything he knew about photography, I took master classes with George Tice and Lisette Model at the New School for Social Research in NYC.  I earned enough to pay for the habit by doing group photos and news coverage at UCC Synods and videotaping conference speakers at Lehman College .

I had one woman shows at the Park West YMCA and Public Libraries in NY and participated in group shows at the UN and at Cold Harbor Art Gallery with the Sierra Club Photographic Group.

Things transformed by light, fog, smoke or perspective excite me.  Insects, animals and people in action too.  I try to act on each impulse to photograph, because getting critical stops the flow of the unconscious part of the process, the “functional awe.”

I’ve converted mostly to digital because of its instant feedback.
